据Daily Hive Vancouver介绍，加拿大最大的影音像连锁店HMV宣布，将在今年春天关闭全国共计102间分店。
昨日（27日），安大略省高等法院批准了HMV的破产申请。这项破产申请早前由负责向HMV借贷的HUK 10 Ltd.提交。自2011年起，经营HUK 10 Ltd.的英国公司Hilco UK收购了加拿大HMV，自此加拿大分布的运营开始独立于英国总部之外。
这次架构重组，使得温哥华市中心Burrard与Robson附近的旗舰店等部分分店被关闭，多伦多、蒙特利尔市中心的旗舰店也一度受到影响。去年10月，HMV曾在大温Tsawwassen Mills商城内再开新店。
HMV经营范围包括出售实体音乐产品、影响产品、相关周边等。目前，HMV在加拿大员工超过1300人，绝大部分职位在于各个零售店内。根据法院，HMV必须在今年4月30日前关闭所有分店。
